1 dead, 4 saved, others missing after the reversals of the boat off the Florida coast

The United States Coast Guard is looking for five missing people after a boat capsized near St. Lucie Inlet in Florida on Sunday.

Four people were saved from the scene, while another person was found deceased, said the Coast Guard.

One of the passengers said the boat capsized on Friday, according to the Coast Guard Declaration on X.

On Sunday afternoon, officials reported that the teams were still looking for the missing passengers of the overturned ship.

The Coast Guard also said in its post that research had started after a “good Samaritan reported the incident”, which took place about 29 miles from the St. Lucie Inlet coast in Florida.

Martin County fire rescue Shared in a post on x That the coastal guard was on the scene just before 10 a.m. on Sunday.

“5 occupants were located, 1 of which died. 4 were transported for a more in -depth assessment,” wrote Martin County Fire Rescue. “Our units received these four patients via the helicopter at Stuart airport.”

In another position, Martin County Fire Rescue said that one of the individuals had “serious injuries” while the other three presented non -fatal injuries, and they were all brought to Martin South hospital in the Cleveland Clinic in Martin.

“A research continues for five other people who were missing,” said the Coast Guard on Sunday afternoon.
