6.2 Treverat of amplitude near Istanbul Rattle Türkiye

London – An earthquake of amplitude of 6.2 rocked much of Turkey on Wednesday morning, according to the United States Geological Survey.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of only 6.2 miles with the epicenter of the earthquake located about 14 miles southeast of Marmara Ereğlisi and 70 miles west of Istanbul.

No victim has been reported so far, but hospitals have indicated that many patients had been admitted due to anxiety and panic because citizens could rush into the streets and parks.
