Russian strikes on Ukraine during the night kill 7 and hurt at least 41

London – At least seven people were killed and 41 others were injured in massive Russian strikes across Ukraine overnight, which targeted civil and energy infrastructure, Ukrainian authorities announced on Saturday morning.

“Russia continues its terror against civilians,” the Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha said on Saturday morning. “Hundreds of drones and missiles liked Ukraine overnight. Kharkiv spent a particularly terrible night.”

In the Ukrainian city in the northeast of Kharkiv, the Russian strikes killed three people and injured 21 others. Among the injured, there was a 14 -year -old child and daughter, according to the mayor of Kharkiv, Ihor Terekhov. An additional person was injured in the city of Kupyansk, southeast of Kharkiv, in the surrounding region, according to the governor of the Kharkiv Oblast, Oleh Syniehubov.

Russia attacked Kharkiv with 48 drones, five guided air bombs, four MLRs and three missiles, targeting houses and civil infrastructure facilities in the districts of Kyivskyi and Osnovianskyi of the city.

Meanwhile, the Russian strikes killed two people – a married couple, aged 56 and 54 – in the Ukrainian port city in the south of Kherson and injured 10 other people in the surrounding region, according to the governor of Kherson Oblast, Olexandr Prokudine.

In the Donetsk Oblast of eastern Ukraine, two people were killed and eight others were injured in Russian strikes, according to governor Vadym Filashkin.

And in the northeast of the Ukraine Sumy Oblast, the Russian strikes injured a person, according to the regional administration.

Throughout Ukraine during the night, Russia launched a total of 215 projectiles – 206 drones, two ballistic missiles, six guided aircraft missiles and a cruise missile – of which 174 were neutralized, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

“There have been strikes throughout Ukraine – in Donetsk, Dnipro, Ternopil, Odesa and other regions,” said the Minister of Foreign Affairs. “People were injured and killed, and the energy infrastructure was also damaged.”

Sybiha added: “To put an end to the murder and destruction of Russia, more pressure on Moscow is necessary, just like more steps to strengthen Ukraine. Russia is a terrorist state, and it must be called such. It has already done more than sufficient to win this title.”
