A Ukrainian official suggests that American mineral transaction conditions have improved for Kyiv

Kyiv – A Ukrainian official described the ABC news details of a possible mineral agreement in the United States-Ukraine, sharing points which seem to suggest that kyiv has managed to considerably improve the terms, perhaps by looking at some of the most expensive requests of Trump administration.
The $ 500 billion requested by Trump no longer appear in the project, said a Ukrainian official at ABC News. The fund in which Ukraine will pay will no longer be 100% American, said the manager.
The two countries have accepted an agreement relating to critical minerals and other resources, a senior Ukrainian official said on Tuesday.

President Donald Trump did not confirm that the United States had accepted, saying rather that he had heard the Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy will visit Washington, DC, to finalize the agreement on Friday and that “it suits me if he wish.”
The terms of a final agreement have not yet been disclosed.
The Ukrainian official said that the resources to which the agreement will apply are only those who do not currently contribute to the Ukrainian budget, which means no oil and gas, or probably the majority of mineral resources in the country.
If the final agreement remains close to these conditions, the agreement can in fact be quite limited in real economic terms.

Carl Bildt, the former Swedish Prime Minister and co -president of the European Council on foreign relations, told BBC News that the mineral seems to be a “slideshow” and was mainly designed to “keep Mr. Trump happy”.
“But that will not give much money in the United States, and I do not see that it has a materially economic effect for many years,” BILDT told the BBC.
