Adolescent lawyers accused of murder on track meet the publication of stab wounds 1st declaration
The family of a 17 -year -old student accused of murder in the fatal stab wounds of another student during a high school track meeting last week is “sincerely saddened” to death, adolescent’s lawyers said in their first public press release since the incident while calling the public to “refrain from rushing to the judgment”.
The incident occurred on April 2 in a stadium of Frisco Independent District in Frisco, Texas, during an athletics championship involving several schools in the district.
Austin Metcalf, 17, a 11th year student at Frisco Memorial High School, died after the police said that another student had stabbed him during an altercation in the stands during the competition.
The suspect in deadly stab wounds – Karmelo Anthony, a student from Frisco Centennial High School – was accused of first degree murder, police announced.
His family retained the lawyers for the defense of the value of Dallas-Fort Billy Clark of the law firm from Clark and Kim Cole de K Colew in the case, according to a joint press release from their firms.
“Karmelo and the whole Anthony family are sincerely saddened that a life has been lost and presents their condolences to the family of Austin Metcalf,” lawyers said on a statement on Monday.
“During this difficult period, we urge the public to refrain from rushing to judgment before all the facts and evidence is presented,” they continued. “Karmelo, like all the citizens of the United States, is entitled to a fair and impartial legal process; we are committed to ensuring that Karmelo rights are indeed protected throughout each phase of the criminal justice system.”

Anthony is detained in County County prison with a deposit of $ 1 million.
The lawyers said they were planning to work with the County County District Office to request a reduced obligation and “better determination of the deposited burden”.
“It will certainly be a long road to come and during this difficult period, we ask for prayers for the two families and we ask for your patience and your respect for the legal process when we are looking for the truth,” said lawyers.
In the wake of the incident, Anthony’s family launched a fundraising on the Givedo platform, which, early Tuesday afternoon, made it possible to collect more than $ 236,000. The fund collection page has not detailed how the funds will be used.
Anthony would have confessed to the murder and that the officers said that he had told them that he was protecting himself, according to the arrest report.
An officer who answered the scene said that Anthony had told him without problem, without being asked about the incident, “I was protecting myself”, according to the arrest report.
When the officer informed another response officer that he had “the suspected suspect”, Anthony replied: “I am not alleged, I did it,” according to the arrest report.

Anthony “made another spontaneous statement” and would have asked an officer if what had happened “could be considered a self -defense,” according to the arrest report.
The stab wounds occurred in the tent of the High School Memorial in the stadium stands around 10 am on April 2, according to the arrest report.
The agents who answered said that they had spoken to several witnesses, one of whom reported that the altercation had started after Metcalf told Anthony to leave under the tent of their team, according to the arrest report.
The witness reported that Anthony would have reached inside her bag and said: “Touch me and see what’s going on”, according to the arrest report.
Metcalf caught Anthony to move him, according to a witness, and Anthony would have withdrawn what the witness described as a black knife and “stabbed Austin once in the chest, then fled,” said the arrest report.

Shilson said the police were investigating a false account created using their name which “perpetuated disinformation” on the incident.
