Appeal of the 911 made by suspect in criminal fire against the residence of the Governor of Pennsylvania, the residence of Governor Josh Shapiro

Less than an hour after allegedly bombed the manor of the Governor of Pennsylvania, the suspect called 911 and seemed to apologize and confess the attack on Sunday, according to a new recording of the call.

“I don’t really have an emergency. I would like to apologize,” said the suspect, Cody Balmer, 38, tell the operator in a recording of the call obtained by ABC News through a request for public files.

Balmer refers to the governor of Pennsylvania Josh Shapiro and himself by name in the recording of the call, which was cited in several mandates in the case.

“Governor Josh Shapiro needs to know that Cody Balmer will not participate in his plan for what he wants to do to the Palestinian people,” said Balmer in the recording. “He needs to leave my family alone.”

“He must stop killing my friends,” he continues in recording. “Our people was brought too much by this monster.”

Damage to the dining room of the residence by the fire were also mentioned in the call, according to the registration.

“All he has is a banquet room to clean up,” said Balmer in recording. “I am tired of offering extensions of peace. I only want to be able to support my children. I should not be taken to these extremes. It’s not just.”

The suspect said that he did not want “any harm to anyone,” said registration.

“But this man, this man hurts and evil yourself, has probably included,” he continues in the recording. “And I wish you the best, sir. You all know where to find myself. I don’t hide myself, and I confess everything I did.”

Balmer’s voice is rather calm throughout the call for about a few minutes, although we hear taking some deep breaths. It seems that he hangs up before the operator can answer.

ABC News contacted the Balmer public defender to comment on the call and has not yet received an answer.

The 911 call was made around 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, according to the search mandates.

The members of the Harrisburg Bureau of Fire responded to the governor’s residence around 2 am that day for the report of a fire.

The attack occurred a few hours after the Shapiro family welcomed more than two dozen people for the first night of Passover. The attacker jumped a fence in the governor’s manor, broke windows, entered the residence and deployed Molotov cocktails made from beer and petrol bottles, the police announced.

Shapiro and his family were at the residence at the time of the fire but were evacuated safely and not injured, according to the state police.

Balmer went and admitted the fire, according to search mandates.

He faces eight criminal charges, including an attempted murder, terrorism and an aggravated criminal fire. Until now, prosecutors have not invoked a law on hatred crime which, in Pennsylvania, is known as ethnic intimidation.

He has not yet pleaded for the accusations.

BALMER – A mechanic who had previously expressed his disdain for democrats on social networks – was denied the release on bond when he charged on Monday.

During the hearing, his lawyer said Balmer was indigent and asked for a “reasonable monetary deposit”, but the judge denied him, saying that even if he appreciated that Balmer went, there was no condition that could prevent him from being a danger to the community.

He should appear in court on April 23 for a preliminary hearing.
