Double German-American citizen accused of planning attack on the American Embassy in Tel Aviv

A double American-American citizen appeared on Sunday before the Federal Court of Brooklyn for trying to bomb a branch of the American embassy in Tel Aviv, according to officials of the law application.

Joseph Neumeyer arrived in Israel in April and May 19, he published on his Facebook account, “Join me this afternoon in Tel Aviv, we burn the Embassy of the United States” and “Join me while I burn the Embassy of Tel Aviv. Death To America. Death to Americans and F — The West, ”according to a criminal complaint.

The same day, Neumeyer arrived outside the branch of the United States Embassy in Tel Aviv carrying a backpack, according to the complaint. Neumeyer approached and spat on a guard and the guard tried to hold Neumeyer, who said the profanations before turning and fleeing, leaving his backpack behind, said the complaint.

The officials of the application of laws returned to the backpack of Neumeyer several bottles which had been transformed into Molotov cocktails, according to the complaint.

He was arrested at the hotel where he stayed and expelled from Israel in the United States, the authorities said.

Neumeyyer’s social media accounts also contained threatening positions which, among other things, called to the assassination of President Donald Trump, according to prosecutors.

“Neumayer was arrested earlier this week in Israel – when managers of the embassy discovered a backpack bearing several explosive devices and a social media account which would have been linked to Neumayer detailing the intention to attack the embassy and threatening President Trump,” said FBI Director Kash Patel on X.

“He will now be confronted with justice,” wrote Patel.
