Fyre Festival 2 was “postponed”, according to the organizers.
Billy McFarland, who was behind the Fyre Initial Festival in the Bahamas, was found guilty of wire fraud as part of the failure of the 2017 festival.
The new McFarland event, which was to take place in Mexico from May 30 to June 2, was announced under the slogan “Fyre Festival 2 is real”, with tickets from $ 1,400.
A message sent to a ticket said: “The event has been postponed and a new date will be announced. We have published a refund. Once the new date has been announced, at that time, you can buy if it works for your schedule.”
The Fyre Festival 2 tickets were sold in February.
At the time, McFarland said a statement: “I’m sure many people think I’m crazy to start again. But I think I would be crazy not to start again.”
“After years of reflection and now thoughtful planning, the new team and I have incredible plans for Fyre 2,” he added.
