Hegseth is unleashed in the so -called pentagon leaks, he claims to want to “sabotage” Trump’s agenda

Defense secretary, Pete Hegseth, has strongly denied that he shared during a second group group on the signal messaging application was classified war plans on imminent American air strikes targeting Houthi activists in Yemen, and accused former staff members for fled, accusing it to go to the media with new information to “sabotage” the agenda.
Hegseth and other administration officials insisted that information on these air strikes that were shared earlier with another signal group established by national security advisor Mike Waltz was not classified.
On Tuesday, Hegseth continued to assert this case because questions were raised about how he shared similar information with a smaller signal group which said that ABC News sources included his wife, brother and personal lawyer.
“I look at the war plans every day. What was shared on signal then and now, as you characterize, was the non -classified informal coordination for the coordination of the media of other things. This is what I said from the start,” said HegSeth in a live interview with Pentagon on “Fox” & Friends.”
Sources familiar with the cat had previously declared to ABC News that Hegseth had established the group of signals with his family and friends during his confirmation process of the Senate. Hegseth was not asked in the interview why he had shared the information with this group of close personal advisers who understood his wife, who is not an employee of the United States government.

US officials have confirmed to ABC News that information on strikes in Yemen that HegSeth has carried out in the two signal groups from General Erik Kurilla, commander of the US central command, who used a secure American government system to transmit information. NBC News was the first to point out that information on air strikes came from General de Centcom Kurilla.
In his interview with Fox News, the defense secretary also criticized former close advisers dismissed last week as part of what he said was a flight investigation that followed military reports for the Panama Canal, Elon Musk’s planned visit to Pentagon and other developments.
“It has led to unhappy places, people I have known for some time, but it’s not my job to protect them,” said Hegseth. “It is my job to protect the national security of the President of the United States and to let the investigation go where it is. So when this evidence is sufficiently collected, and all of this has happened very quickly, it will be given to the DJ, and these people will be prosecuted if necessary.”

Former staff members include Dan Caldwell, a long-standing advisor to Hegseth, Darin Selnick, who was the deputy chief of staff of the Pentagon, and Colin Carroll, who was chief of staff to the deputy defense secretary and Tuesday Hegseth, without evidence, that they were responsible for the news of the news.
“These fleeing people, who have been pushed out of the building, are now trying to disclose and sabotage the president’s agenda and what we do, and it’s unfortunate,” said Hegseth.
“So, once a leak, always a leak, often a leak, and we therefore seek leaks, because we take it very seriously, and we will investigate,” said Hegseth.
At the same time, Hegseth left the possibility that the current investigation could exempt the very people he accused.
“If these people are exempt, fantastic,” said Hegseth. “We do not think, depending on what we understand, that it will be a good day for a number of these people because of what has been found in the investigation.”
Monday, in a Video interview with Tucker CarlsonCaldwell vigorously denied having disclosed information and said that he and the other two officials did not know why they had been dismissed.
“At the moment, we have still not been told exactly for which we have been the subject of an investigation, if there is always an active investigation, or if there was even a real investigation into the” leaks “to start,” they said in a joint press release on X on April 19.
Also on Monday, Hegseth blamed “Anonymous smear” and President Donald Trump rejected any concern, he had “great confidence” to Hegseth.
“It left. Just a waste of time. He does an excellent job,” said Trump about Hegseth.
The recent disclosure of the new signal group and the dismissal of the main advisers have raised questions about HegSeth’s judgment among a large number of Congress Democrats who asked HegSeth to leave his post.
Monday, the representative Don Bacon of Nebraska, and a former general of the Air Force, became the first Republican to suggest that Hegseth should be removed as a defense secretary.
“If it is true that he had another conversation with his family, missions against the Houthis, it is totally unacceptable,” He told Politico.
“It seems that there is an in progress,” said Bacon. “There is a lot – a lot – of smoke coming out of the Pentagon, and I could believe that there is fire somewhere.”
On Tuesday, Hegseth said that the criticisms of his Pentagon agenda “came after me from the first day”, but said that his goal would remain on the achievement of his Pentagon goals.
“I’m here because President Trump asked me to bring the Pentagon to the Pentagon every day,” HegSeth said.
“This is our goal, and if people don’t like it, they can come after me. No worries. I stand here,” said Hegseth. “The fighters are behind us. Our enemies know that they are in opinion. Our allies know that we are behind them, and that in this dangerous world for the American people is what it is.”
“No, I haven’t blocked my eyes, and I’m not going to blink because this work is too big and too important for the American people,” he said.
