Carter’s trial said that the woman, identified as Jane Doe, had timed her complaint “to inflict a maximum of pain and suffering to Mr. Carter” to extort the payments.
The trial also named the lawyers of the woman, Tony Buzbee and David Fortney, who, according to Jay-Z, were motivated without soul by greed, by despising abject of the most fundamental truth and precepts of human decency “.
The woman initially said that Jay-Z and Sean “Diddy” Combs in turn attacked her sexually at the age of 13 at a party after the MTV Video Music Awards 2000. The two men denied allegation.
Jane Doe withdrew her trial last month after Carter raised questions about the veracity of her account and her lawyer asked for sanctions against Buzbee.
