London – At least nine people were killed and dozens of others were injured in a Russian night attack against several districts and residential areas in kyiv, Ukrainian officials announced on Thursday.
Russian attack drones and ballistic missiles targeted the capital, according to the military administration of Kyiv City.
“Russia organized a massive attack on Ukraine overnight,” said the Ministry of Defense. “Cruise missiles, drones, ballistic weapons – yet another strike on peaceful cities and Ukrainian houses.”

At least 70 people were injured, including 42 people hospitalized, said Ukraine’s state emergency service in an article on Telegram messaging application.
Six children were among the injured, the service said.
Rescue operations continued early Thursday in the capital, where the first stakeholders dug through the rubble of residential buildings for survivors, said defense officials.

“These attacks are still another confirmation – Russia does not seek peace. It continues to kill Ukrainians,” said the ministry on social networks.
Apart from kyiv, Russia has also targeted the regions of Zhytomyr, Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Poltava, Khmelnytskyi, Sumy and Zaporizhzhia.
