Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Trial Day 9: Ventura Spars with the defense lawyers on the last day of testimony

On Friday, Cassie Ventura concluded four days of often painful and intimate testimony, while she was arguing lawyers for her former boyfriend, Sean “Diddy”, the combs, on the consistency of her testimony and the evil she would have endured in the hands of the rap magnate.
Ventura’s testimony, just at the start of the highly anticipated trial criminal banks, seemed to set a base for the racketeering and sex trafficking affair against the bands. They allege that Combs submitted Ventura to regular violence and blackmail threats to keep it online so that she can perform her sexual desires by organizing sexual holidays of several days called “Freak Offs” and “Wild King Nights”.
Combs pleaded not guilty to accusations of sexual traffic, transportation to engage in prostitution and the conspiracy of racketeering, and his lawyers, through two days of cross-examination, tried to refer Ventura as a voluntary sexual partner who enjoyed the lifestyle of a sampling and contributed to an admissible toxic relationship. His lawyers admitted that Combs was violent with Ventura, but argued that her actions did not constitute sexual trafficking or racketeering, as federal prosecutors alleged him. They also highlighted episodes when Ventura was violent towards the combs in order to prove their point of view that the ugliness that marked their relationship went in both directions.

Ventura has largely maintained her composure on two days of defense questioning, even if the lawyers confronted her with text messages and e-mails filled with graphic sexual details, and some jurors seemed to concentrate during times that mix and disjoint. When his lawyer Anna Estevao concluded the counter-examination, Combs kissed Estevao in the court and seemed to thank her for the intense interrogation.
Questioned by the prosecutors one last time Friday, Ventura broke down in response to questions about how she suffered after the allegedly regular blows of Combs, telling the jurors that she felt without value, just like dirt, that I did not matter for him, as if I were nothing “. Ventura told the jury that she would return the civil regulations of $ 20 million that she had received from Combres in 2023 if it meant that she had never to participate in a monster.

“I would return this money if I had never to make monsters. I would have an agency and autonomy,” she said through tears. “I wouldn’t have had to work so hard to recover it.”
Defense lawyers are trying to refuse moments of violence in the center of Ventura testimony
Defense lawyers focused on two central moments described by Ventura during its direct examination: an assault of 2016 in a hotel in Los Angeles and alleged rape towards the end of their relationship. During the counter-examination, combat lawyers tried to use these episodes to question Ventura’s credibility.
Asked about the assault at the 2016 hotel, Ventura said she thought that Combres was in intoxication during the game. On Thursday, on Thursday, on the third day of Ventura testimony, the defense lawyers tried to suggest the drugs he was taking at the time contributed to his violence.
“When you get F —— In the wrong direction, you always want to show me that you have power and make me give me back.
Defense lawyer Anna Estevao also proven Ventura on her memory of the end of her relationship with Combs. The singer in the past in the lead declared earlier in the week that Combs raped her after a dinner she said they were planning when their relationship was coming to an end.

“You say nothing about the effect of:” The last time we saw each other, you violated me “,” said Estevao about Ventura messages with combs at the time.
Earlier, the defense showed Ventura transcriptions of its interviews with law enforcement agents, stressing that she told them that the night of the alleged violations act “kindly but strangely”. The Defense also stressed how Ventura wondered if the alleged attack had occurred due to the bipolar disorder of Combs, the first time that such a diagnosis was mentioned at the trial. Combs previously said that he was not bipolar but that he had mood swings.
Defense lawyers focus on the alleged infidelity of Ventura
During the counter-examination, the defense introduced dozens of text messages which contained a mixture of affection, sexually loaded jokes, domestic negotiation, quarrels and jealousy. Jealousy has become a central principle for the first time during the declarations of opening of the defense, when the lawyers of Combs told the jury that the case against their client concerned “love, jealousy, infidelity and money”.
Ventura told how the combs would become jealous if he suspected that she saw another man, and repeatedly took her phone to find out more about suspected infidelity.
“Was Mr. Combs incredibly jealous?” Defense lawyer Anna Estevao asked. “He was angry with you when he suspected you of cheating?”
Ventura replied: “When I was with someone else. I don’t know if I would call him cheating.”
Estevao said, “Did you understand that he thought it was cheating?”
Ventura replied: “It is a technicality. We did not get married.”
Defense lawyers are trying to show a different side of Ventura
The jurors heard a spectacular audio recording of a conversation in March 2014 in Atlantic City between Ventura and a man called Sugit, who had told him that he had seen her in a sexually explicit video taken during a “panic”. Several jurors seemed to be attentive and took notes during the testimony, because they heard a much more aggressive version of Ventura than what had appeared on the stand, which itself seemed amused by the reaction captured on a band.
“Tell me what you saw exactly,” said Ventura say Sugs. “You told me that someone else was in there F ——- Me.”
A moment later, his voice was heard to rise. “Did you? Why didn’t you show me?” Ventura asked.
“Because I am not disrespectful,” is heard suggesting gently.
“Do you have it all the time?” Said Ventura. “It’s my life F ****** and I will kill you. I will kill you if you don’t show me. Stop it. If you have it, pull it — or I will kill you!”
Ventura has recognized aggressiveness in her voice, having testified during a direct examination on a constant fear that Combs could release the sexual tapes of Freak-Off which would destroy his career and his reputation. Ventura testified that Combs had shown him the videos and used them as blackmail, threatening to release them if she disobeyed him.
“I was just sick about it and I felt pressure from Sean,” Ventura told jurors, adding that Combres had ordered him to speak with Sugit.
At the end of her testimony, Ventura, through a declaration read by her lawyer Douglas Wigdor outside the court, thanked her supporters for their kindness and swore not to forget what she said that Combs had done to her.
“I hope that my testimony gave strength and a voice to other survivors and can help others who have suffered from speaking and healing abuses and fear. For me, the more I cure, the more I remember, the more I remember, the more I will never forget,” she said in a press release.
Prosecutors call the federal agent, Dawn Richard de Danity Kane to attend the position
Friday, federal prosecutors called two additional witnesses after the conclusion of Ventura’s testimony.
Homeland Security Investigations Yasin Binda Special Agent informed the jurors of the Combs hotel chamber at the time of his arrest in 2024, when his lawyers said he was going to New York to go to the authorities. Binda testified that the agents seized $ 9,000 in cash, substances which were then tested positive for ketamine and MDMA, several bottles of baby oil and a device used for “mood lighting”, which claims that Ventura was the type of items that the feasts would use during the frequent. The jurors were able to touch and examine some of the materials seized in the Combs Chamber.

For their fifth witness, the prosecutors called Dawn Richard, singer-songwriter who, in a civil trial, accused combs of sexual assault, forced work and forced imprisonment. Former member of the group of daughters Danity Kane, Richard is said to have witnessed several cases when Combs abused Ventura, including an incident that she described in her testimony. Combs had greatly denied allegations in this case.
Richard testified that she had seen combines beating Ventura in Los Angeles in 2009, describing how Combs had a violent explosion while Ventura was trying to prepare breakfast.
“He went down to angry angry. He said:” Where is the F —– is his eggs? “” Said Richard. “He took the pan with the eggs” and took a swing to Ventura, adding that Ventura fell on the ground, “literally trying to hide his face or his head.”
After a series of objections, the judge postponed the court until Monday when he considers potentially striking parties of Richard’s testimony.
