The United States supports “crucial”, says Zelenskyy in the midst of mineral transactions negotiations

London – Ukraine “is preparing for negotiations” with the United States concerning security guarantees and “crucial,” said President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the Ukrainian leader expected to go to Washington, DC on Friday to meet President Donald Trump and sign a mineral agreement.
kyiv was maneuvering to win an American security agreement as part of the proposed mineral agreement, a “preliminary executive” on which Ukraine worked, journalists in kyiv told Zelenskyy on Wednesday.
But Trump said he would not offer any security guarantee to Ukraine “beyond”, as part of any agreement. “We are going to make Europe do this,” he told journalists in the White House on Wednesday.
In a video press release published on the presidential website on Wednesday evening, Zelenskyy said that his team “endeavors to make sure that the Ukrainian positions were protected in all circumstances”.

“And this is one of the key conditions for the diplomacy we need-for good diplomacy that will guarantee peace for Ukraine,” he added.
The president said there was “a lot of international work” on Wednesday. “Our teams work with the United States, we are preparing for negotiations this Friday. The agreement with America. Support for our state and our people.”
“Guarantees of peace and security – This is the key to guarantee that Russia will no longer destroy the lives of other nations,” said Zelenskyy. “I will meet President Trump. For me and for all of us in the world, it is crucial that America’s help is not stopped. The strength is essential on the path of peace.”
Trump said on Wednesday that he expects to sign the mineral agreement with Zelenskyy at the White House on Friday, adding that his administration is “happy” from the agreement. Trump conducted the agreement as a means of recovering American aid in wartime in Ukraine.
Countries have agreed with an agreement relating to critical minerals and other resources, a senior Ukrainian official said on Tuesday.
The details of the agreement seem to suggest that kyiv has managed to considerably improve the terms, perhaps by looking at some of the most expensive requirements of the Trump administration.
The $ 500 billion required by Trump no longer appear in the agreement, and the fund that Ukraine will pay is no longer 100% belonging to the United States, according to the full text of the agreement obtained by ABC News.
Ukraine has agreed to contribute 50% of all the income of its natural resources to a fund jointly held in Ukraine and the United States, according to the agreement.
The assets of natural resources include those directly or indirectly by the Ukrainian government and are defined as “mineral, hydrocarbon, oil, natural gas and other extractable materials, and other relevant infrastructures for natural resources assets (such as liquefied natural gas terminals and port infrastructures).”
Zelenskyy, however, warned that any agreement will not be viable without supporting American security.
“Without future security guarantees, we will not have real cease-fire,” said Zelenskyy. “And if we don’t have it, nothing will work. Nothing will work.”
