Trump administration examining the case of an FBI informant sentenced to having lied about Bidens

The Ministry of Justice said that he was examining the criminal case filed against a former FBI informant found guilty of having staggered lies about former president Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden and moves for a judge to immediately disclose the man in the prison while his case is on appeal.

Alexander Smirnov was sentenced to six years in prison in January after pleading guilty to having lied to his FBI manager about the Biden family’s ties with a Ukrainian energy company – in addition to a series of tax fraud unpaid.

The case against Smirnov, presented by the former special lawyer, David Weiss, who was previously an American lawyer appointed by Trump, alleged that he had concocted “manufacturing” about Joe Biden and his son accepting $ 5 million in bribes of the Ukrainian energy giant Burisma. The accusation act accused Smirnov of having repeatedly changed his history on the alleged corruption program after having encountered higher members of Russia’s intelligence services, in what Weiss described as a deliberate effort to influence the presidential election of 2024.

Thursday’s game towards Smirnov health problems has been confronted since his incarceration. His lawyers said he had been suffering from chronic eyes disease for over a year and asked for him to be released to receive a doctor’s treatment in California.

The judge supervising his case, however, repeatedly rejected his efforts before his guilty plea, arguing that he was pose a risk of leak from the United States according to his vast contacts with foreign intelligence services abroad.

An MJ spokesperson refused to comment on the government’s file more.
