The Trump administration sent hundreds of Venezuelans – alleged members of the gangs of Tren of Aragua – to El Salvador, raising whether the deportations violated the ordinance of a federal judge who temporarily blocked their withdrawal under the administration invoking the extraterrestrial enemies law.
During a hearing on Saturday evening, US district judge James Boasberg in Washington, DC, enjoined the moves of all Venezuelans already under the Care of the United States and covered by the proclamation of the AEA, until more information on the use of law administration.
Included in the oral decision of Boasberg was an order according to which the government transforms planes transporting people covered by order in the air. During the hearing, the complainants, represented by ACLU and democracy, told court that they understood that there were at least two flights in the air in the direction of Honduras and Salvador.

On Sunday, the president of El Salvador, Nayib Bukele, published a video of officials from the country receiving 238 members of Tren de Aragua. “Oopsie, too late,” published Bukele on X in response to an article in the New York Post on the Order of Boasberg to run flights.
Secretary of State Marco Rubio thanked Bukele on X for receiving migrants.
“We sent 2 best MS-13 dangerous MS leaders plus 21 of his most sought after return to Salvador,” said Rubio. “In addition, as promised by @potus, we sent more than 250 members of the Aragua Tren, a foreign enemies, which El Salvador has agreed to hold in their very good prisons at a fair price which will also save our dollars from taxpayers.”
Bukele said that migrants who arrived from the United States will be transferred to its terrorist containment center for “a period of one year”.
