Trump repels economic anxieties in ABC’s interview, says China “will probably eat these prices”

President Donald Trump held his controversial trade policies on Tuesday in an exclusive interview with ABC News, saying that China “will probably eat these prices” and try to calm Americans’ economic anxieties.
During a vast interview with ABC News Anchor and the main national correspondent Terry Moran, Trump sought to reassure the nervous Americans, even if he recently urged them to “hang hard” while the prices begin to take effect, by writing on his social media platform that “it will not be easy, but the final result will be historic”.
“You said that to the American people,” said Moran. “What are the Americans to expect? Difficult times?”
“I said that during my campaign,” said Trump. “Listen, we have won a campaign by many. We have won the seven swing states. We have won the popular vote by many. You know, we had a huge campaign. I said all these things during my campaign. I said:” You are going to have a transition period. “”
“We were scammed by all countries around the world. They make fun of us,” said Trump. “They thought we were stupid people, and we were. And I said:” It will not happen. We are not going that it happens. “”
“But the difficult times are ahead?” Moran asked.
“I don’t think so,” said Trump. “I think the good times are ahead.”
The interview is broadcast on ABC at 8 p.m. he, 7 p.m. CT. It can also be broadcast Tuesday later on ABC News Live, Disney + and Hulu.
Despite Trump’s pink prospects on the economy, polls suggest a general analysis in the face of Trump’s trade policies. More than 7 out of 10 Americans believe that the economy is in poor condition, considers its prices as a negative factor in price inflation and thinks that it is very or unlikely that its economic policies will lead to a short -term recession, according to a new ABC News / Washington Post / Ipsos survey.
Pressed by Moran for a message to voters who may feel a certain anxiety in the higher cost and market volatility perspective, Trump said that he had delivered his signing campaign commitment to reduce prices on the first day in the White House.
“Listen, since I got to the gasoline is down, the grocery store is down, egg prices are declining – many things are down, almost everything,” said Trump.
Despite the overwhelming concern of economists that Americans will pay higher prices for prices on goods from China, Trump said that the Chinese “probably eat these” costs.

“So 145% of China prices,” said Moran. “And it’s essentially an embargo.”
“It’s good,” replied Trump. “They deserve it.”
“This will increase the prices of everything, from electronics to clothes to construction of houses,” said Moran.
“You don’t know,” said Trump. “You don’t know if China will eat it or not.”
“These are mathematics,” said Moran.
“China will probably eat these prices,” said Trump. “They would tear us away as if no one had ever torn us … They don’t do that anymore.”
