Vance stands next to Trump in the middle of the quarrel with Musk but silent on the accusations of Musk

Vice-president JD Vance continued on Friday to stand by President Donald Trump during his public quarrel with Elon Musk, but not particularly criticizing the billionaire of Tesla.

Vance weighed for the first time in a few hours after the explosive exchange started on Thursday, offering only a brief article on X.

“President Trump did more than anyone in my lifetime to gain the confidence of the movement he leads. I am proud to stand next to him,” wrote Vance.

Friday morning, Vance turned his attention to the media while remaining silent on the accusations of Musk against the president.

“There are a lot of lies that the corporate media tell about President Trump. One of the most flagrant is that he is impulsive or angry. Whoever has seen it operating under pressure knows that it is ridiculous,” wrote Vance on X. Musk Thursday had made no assertion that Trump is “impulsive” or “in the short term”.

Musk put pressure for Vance to be Trump’s package in 2024. At the end of February, Musk posted to X that Vance was the “best vice-president of all time and our future president”.

The tensions between Trump and Musk, arising from the incessant criticism of Musk in recent days of the legislation on the signing of Trump, reached a fever argument on Thursday.

Trump in the Oval Office has offered his hardest words to date for his former close advisor, saying he was “disappointed” by Musk. Musk retaliated in real time, going to an X unleashing which included Trump’s suggestion would have lost the 2024 elections without him and even claiming that Trump was “in” Epstein files concerning the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein, accused in 2019 of miners’ sex traffic.

At some point, he agreed with a user calling Trump to be dismissed and replaced by Vance. Vance did not respond to this either.

Trump retaliated on his own conservative social media platform, saying Musk had become “crazy” and launched the possibility of ending Musk government contracts.

The president said on Friday morning, chief correspondent for the ABC News, the Washington correspondent, whom Musk “had lost his head” and that he was “not particularly” interested in talking to him at the moment.
